Trigger-point injection
For the muscle knot that refuses to take the hint.
A trigger point is a tight, painful area of muscle that can cause ongoing discomfort, stiffness, and limited movement. During treatment, a small needle is used to inject a local anesthetic, such as lidocaine, directly into the problem area to help the muscle relax and reduce pain.
More than one trigger point may be treated during the same appointment when medically appropriate. Some patients experience relief quickly, although results and duration vary.
Less tension. More comfortable movement.
